The short story
Nine years, three chapters.
In-house at two startups
Four years at Fieldwork and Lumen Pay, as the first and then the second designer. I learned to ship with engineers, and to write things down.
Independent, on purpose
Small teams make the biggest calls in their first year. I wanted to be in the room for those, so I went independent and kept it to a few teams at a time.
How I work
I join your tools and rituals, test with real users every Friday, and send a short note on what changed and why. No decks for the sake of decks.
